Each time you make a material review decision, (1) self-report your confidence in 5% increments, (2) cross-check the results after a certain period of time, and (3) calculate the Brier score. If you collect this data from 30 to 50 cases, you will be able to quantitatively see the bias in your calibration. A pattern often emerges in which experts are more overconfident in areas of high confidence (90-100%).
