Project EVE: Claude plays MMORPGs
Anthropic put Claude in two EVE games, EVE Online and EVE Frontier, to study how AI agents handle markets and teamwork, where they break down, and what safeguards they might need. The research was done as part of the Anthropic Fellows Program from April to July 2026, in partnership with Fenris Creations.
