Multiwavelength Classification of Chandra Sources in Omega Centauri
This study is the most comprehensive of X-ray sources in the globular cluster NGC 5139 to date. Over 200 Chandra sources were cross-matched to HST, JWST and MeerKAT catalogs, and the machine-learning pipeline MUWCLASS was applied for the first time in such a crowded stellar environment, using a new training dataset built from classified sources in 25 Galactic globular clusters. The results were compared with traditional classification methods, confirming earlier counterpart associations and identifying new confident and candidate ones.
