Sionna Bench: Towards Benchmarks in Wireless Communications
Academic wireless communications research has no tradition of benchmarks, so methods addressing essentially the same problem were developed for slightly different setups and lack a common framework for comparison. The authors present Sionna Bench, which uses AI-assisted coding enabled by recent agentic AI to implement the state of the art at scale within a common framework. As a pilot study, its channel estimation benchmark features twenty MIMO-OFDM channel estimation methods implemented from ten papers.
