Application of Single-cell Deep Learning in Elucidating the Mapping Relationship Between Visceral and Body Surface Inflammatory Patterns

Using single-cell RNA sequencing of subcutaneous fascia and deep neural network analysis in a rat model of Salmonella-induced dysentery, the authors identified metabolic reprogramming in macrophages. They report that CD34+/PDGFRα+ telocytes regulate macrophage differentiation and proliferation via Wnt/Fgf signaling, and that co-culture suppressed macrophage pro-inflammatory activity. The findings point to the fascia's role in immune regulation during visceral inflammation.
