A Neural Network - Based Tool for Rapid Orbital Solution of Contact Binary Systems
Contact binary orbital modeling has relied on computationally expensive physical models, which limits its use on large survey datasets. The authors propose fully connected and SIREN neural networks that generate radial velocity curves rapidly and accurately, and integrate them with an existing light-curve framework to fit radial velocities and light curves simultaneously. Parameter estimates were checked against ground truth using synthetic observational datasets.
