GeoAgent: Contract-Constrained LLM Agents for Seismic Data Processing
Free-form LLM tool use is fragile on long, data-dependent processing chains, where models omit arguments or report completion without a verifiable output. GeoAgent is a seismic processing agent built on the Madagascar software's roughly 1,965 command-line programs, using a nine-stage state graph and four explicit contracts. On a 2-D land dataset, it completed the nine-stage pipeline in about six to eleven minutes, with a verified artifact at each stage.
