Combining Rubin and Roman photometry and its implications for photometric redshift estimation

This study examines how combining Rubin and Roman photometry affects photometric redshift precision, using simulated images processed with the LSST Science Pipelines. A machine-learning model was built to map true galaxy properties to realistic flux errors and applied to a new mock catalog to test different survey depths. Roman photometry becomes important above redshift about 1.5, and adding Rubin photometry improves performance at all redshifts.
