Anyonic Neural Network Wavefunctions
The macroscopic behavior of a non-interacting gas of Abelian anyons has long been unresolved, and exact diagonalization had been limited to at most four anyons. The authors built a neural network wavefunction, AnyNet, that exactly enforces the non-analytic short-distance behavior of anyonic statistics. It matches exact diagonalization for four anyons, gives results up to 16 anyons for intermediate statistics, and reaches 20 anyons for near-fermionic statistics, within 0.4% of perturbative results.
