How scientists use Claude to accelerate research

Labs at Stanford and MIT have built Claude-powered systems that run genome-wide studies in minutes and automate gene cluster interpretation. As a collaborator across all stages of research, Claude helps scientists decide which experiments to run, compresses projects that normally take months into hours, and finds patterns in massive datasets that humans might overlook. One example is Biomni, a general-purpose biomedical agent with access to hundreds of tools and databases, addressing the bottleneck caused by the fragmentation of biological research tools.
