'Digital twins' of immune system in pregnancy identify drugs to prevent early labor
Researchers have identified two common drugs that, when given together during pregnancy, may prevent premature births. The finding came from a new AI-powered drug-screening technique led by Stanford Medicine. It uses a comprehensive atlas of the immune system, accurate at the cell-by-cell level, to create "digital twins" of individual pregnant women's immune systems for virtual drug testing.
