Amazon Polly delivers a major upgrade to its Generative engine
Amazon Polly, a fully managed AWS service that converts text into natural-sounding speech, has received a major upgrade to its Generative engine. The upgrade delivers more expressive, more accurate speech with low latency, adds 14 new voices across 9 locales, and makes Generative voices in Hindi and Finnish generally available for the first time. It is a drop-in upgrade with unchanged voice names and API calls, so existing applications continue to work as they do today.
