Simulating Human Behavior with AI Agents | Stanford HAI
This brief introduces a generative AI agent architecture that simulates the attitudes of more than 1,000 real people in response to major social science survey questions. Each agent pairs an LLM with an in-depth interview transcript of an individual. On the General Social Survey, the agents replicated participants' answers 85% as accurately as people replicated their own answers two weeks later.
