How well can AI play Slay the Spire?
Epoch AI's new SpireClimb benchmark shows that frontier models now beat Slay the Spire's base difficulty at least 90% of the time, a sharp improvement from six months earlier. At the maximum difficulty, the best models reached win rates of 17% to 20%. These results remain far below the 80%+ win rates that top human players regularly achieve.
