As commercial, scientific, governmental and personal tasks are increasingly delegated to AI agents, existing societal risks may grow and new ones may arise. The paper assesses three categories of measures to increase visibility into agents: agent identifiers, real-time monitoring and activity logging. It also analyzes how these apply from centralized to decentralized deployment and discusses implications for privacy and concentration of power.
