An opt-in vulnerability-finding service for open-source software
Anthropic has launched OSS Scanner, an opt-in service that gives open-source projects periodic, thorough security scans by its strongest models at no cost. The launch draws on its experience finding vulnerabilities during Project Glasswing. Over the past six months it found more than 29,000 candidate vulnerabilities but could only review about 6,000, and it has sent nearly 5,000 reports to maintainers, including unverified ones.
