Putting Earth AI to work: Geospatial agents for our planet's biggest challenges
Google's technical report shows that pairing domain-specific foundation models, spatial tools, and upfront planning lets its Geospatial Reasoning agent perform complex spatial analysis and planetary prediction beyond standalone LLMs. Partners including the WHO Regional Office for Africa and GiveDirectly tested the agent on tasks such as outbreak investigation and disaster preparedness. Google is also expanding experimental access through Ask Google Earth, an A2A service, Google Earth, and Google Cloud.
