Designing more efficient quantum circuits with Claude
Given plain-language specifications for eight quantum circuits and an automated evaluator, Claude largely on its own designed circuits that improve on the best published versions, in some cases by an order of magnitude or more. The circuits span chemistry, optimization, physics simulation, and number theory. The work was led by Andi Gu as part of Anthropic's STEM Fellows Program.
