Bladder cancer: treatment, trials and AI
- Abstract
Intravesical Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) is the standard adjuvant therapy for high-risk non–muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), yet outcomes vary, with high-grade recurrences (HGR) occurring in up to 40% of patients at 5 yr. Persistent global BCG shortages, treatment intolerance, and the emergence of alternative therapies have intensified the need for novel biomarkers to guide management [1].
