Germany's government has set out a plan to become an AI nation by 2030. It includes independent analysis and evaluation of high-performance AI systems and models through the AI Safety and Security Institute Germany. The strategy, set out by a government AI task force on Monday, includes measurable objectives and consolidates 18 cross-departmental key initiatives, following the principle that the technology must serve humanity and stay under human control.
