World Bank Digital Strategy Puts Small AI at Centre of Jobs Plan

The World Bank Group has launched its first digital strategy, a plan to move more than 2 billion people out of digital exclusion. It ties job creation in developing economies to affordable connectivity, cheaper devices and what the Bank calls "small AI". The strategy was unveiled in Seoul on 20 October 2026.
