Does AI know when to say "no"? New study reveals AI chatbots recognize unnecessary medical tests, but stumble where human doctors disagree

A joint study by Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and Clalit Health Services found that leading large language models identify redundant medical interventions in the vast majority of cases. They stumbled mainly in gray areas where medical consensus itself is divided.
