Microsoft Again Offers Voluntary Retirement to About 60,000 Employees, Focusing on AI Investment

Microsoft announced on the 26th that it will offer voluntary retirement in four countries: the U.S., U.K., India and Canada. About 60,000 employees are eligible, roughly 27% of all staff, following a similar move in April. The company had 223,000 employees as of end of June, and Japan is not covered.
