North Goa District Hospital (Asilo) in Mapusa has performed an AI-assisted total knee replacement, reported as the first such procedure at a government hospital in Goa. The surgery, led by Dr Vikas Solyekar, used technology-supported guidance for knee alignment and implant positioning. The procedure is described as an effort to expand access to advanced surgical care through the state's public healthcare system.
