AI Tool Detects 39% More Intracranial Aneurysms Than Radiologists, Study Finds

An AI tool evaluated at Northwell Health in the US identified 55 additional intracranial aneurysms across 3,856 brain CT angiography examinations. The study, published in the Journal of the American College of Radiology, reported a 39% relative increase in detection. The tool's operational benefit was highest among inpatients and lower in outpatient settings.
