Police to add AI facial recognition to Smart View CCTV system this month, targeting 60,000 cameras by 2028

The Hong Kong Police will introduce AI facial recognition to its Smart View CCTV system this month. The aim is to detect crime and find missing people more accurately and quickly, especially high-risk missing elderly people with dementia.
