The 53 Member States of the WHO European Region adopted two new plans: a strategy on healthy ageing and a roadmap on artificial intelligence in health. Both were adopted at the 76th session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe, which closed in Copenhagen on 29 October 2026. The plans respond to people living longer but not always in good health, and to AI entering health care faster than the rules that govern it.
