Latvia sets AI focus for first-ever UN Security Council presidency

Latvian Permanent Representative Sanita Pavluta-Deslandes announced Monday that the UN Security Council will prioritize artificial intelligence and emerging technologies during Riga's inaugural November presidency. The presidency will convene a high-level ministerial debate on technological change and conflict resolution.
