Disaster Reporting and Generative AI Debated as Media Ethics Conference Opens in Hiroshima

The 68th national convention of the national council of media ethics discussion groups, made up of newspaper, broadcasting and publishing companies, opened on the 5th in Hiroshima. Under the theme "What to convey, and how: let's talk in Hiroshima", participants discussed disaster reporting and the possibilities and challenges of generative AI. About 290 reporters and editors took part, including online, in six sessions, and the convention closes on the 6th after adopting a joint statement.
