EAC ministers adopt regional AI strategy and approve university AI curriculum

Ministers responsible for education, science, technology, culture and sports across the East African Community adopted the EAC Artificial Intelligence Strategy and the EAC Digital Transformation Strategy. At the sectoral council session in Uganda, they also approved a foundational AI module for higher education institutions. They agreed to establish Kiswahili AI certification benchmarks across member states.
