Venture Global to build $17.2B power network for AI data centers in Plaquemines and Cameron parishes

Venture Global plans to invest approximately $17.2 billion in a private, off-grid power network for AI data centers. The centers would be on company-owned land near its liquefied natural gas export terminals in Plaquemines and Cameron parishes, The Center Square reports. The company has signed agreements with GE Vernova and Baker Hughes to purchase 16 natural gas units.
