[FT] In Hiring, AI Agents Show Favoritism Toward AI-Written Résumés

In summer 2026, British law firm Addleshaw Goddard was overwhelmed when an IT job advertisement drew 178 applications, compared with perhaps 20 to 30 a year earlier. AI has made applying much easier and quicker. The longer selection takes, the more likely strong candidates are to be hired elsewhere.
