Obayashi and Tohoku University to collaborate on physical AI research for labor shortages and disasters

Tohoku University and Obayashi set up a joint research institute on the 1st to develop new construction technology. They will work on physical AI, in which robots are controlled autonomously by artificial intelligence, to address worker shortages in construction and frequent natural disasters. Results will be tested at Obayashi construction sites with the aim of practical use.
