AI could transform knitted fabric design

AI could help designers translate creative concepts into technically feasible structures that can be manufactured on industrial knitting machines. A research presentation by Germany’s Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen University outlined AI as a ‘middle layer’ between design intent and machine-specific knitting languages.
