First highly pathogenic AI case of the winter confirmed at Yeoncheon layer farm; nationwide quarantine tightened

The first case of highly pathogenic avian influenza at a domestic poultry farm this winter has been confirmed at a layer farm in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. Authorities issued a 24-hour nationwide standstill order for poultry farms and related facilities. They also began intensive testing at 17 farms within a 10-kilometer radius and started nationwide disinfection.
