Etihad Rail inaugurated the passenger line between Dubai and Abu Dhabi on Sept. 30, after a decade of construction and development. The high-speed train has cut land travel time between the two emirates from three hours to one hour and four minutes, and significantly reduced carbon emissions. The service benefits nearly 1 million overseas Filipino workers based in the UAE.
