Togolese government collects local language samples to train AI models

The Togolese government has begun a three-year national scheme to collect audio recordings and translated text to train AI models in local languages, TogoFirst reported. Minister Cina Lawson said the 'Voix du Togo' programme aims to make government services more accessible to citizens in their native languages. Citizens are invited to record spoken sentences through an online platform.
