Canon to Double Lithography Equipment Output in 2027 as AI Chip Demand Grows

Canon announced on the 21st a plan to increase production of semiconductor lithography equipment by up to double the previous year's level in 2027. It aims to meet expanded production investment by chipmakers in Japan and abroad as demand for semiconductors rises rapidly with the spread of AI.
